What is CDAP?
CDAP, the Canada Digital Adoption Program, was introduced by the Canadian federal government in 2022 with the aim of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their digital transformation efforts. This program provides financial support to enhance the technological processes and infrastructure of your business by adopting suitable systems and streamlining workflows.
CDAP is a four-year federal funding program, and as a certified digital consultant, we offer support for the program’s second phase: enhancing your business’s technological processes.
Enhancing your business’s technological processes will assist in formulating and implementing a digital adoption strategy:
- First Grant: Up to $15,000 CAD (covering 90% of the cost) for planning data transformation implementation.
- Second Grant: Access up to $100,000 CAD of a five-year interest-free loan through BDC to implement your plan.
- Third Grant: Apply for funding for youth employment positions, with a maximum of $7,300 CAD.

Getting a Deeper Understanding of
CDAP Grants
CDAP Grant: Boost Your Business Technology is applicable to Canadian profit-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises that meet the following preliminary criteria:
- Annual revenue between CAD 500,000 and CAD 100,000,000
- Business owned by a Canadian resident, either as a sole proprietorship or a registered company
- A privately held Canadian-controlled private corporation (CCPC) as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency
- Workforce consisting of 1-499 employees
- Compliance with human rights, labor, environmental, and anti-corruption standards
Frequently Asked Questions
The CDAP grant portion can reach a maximum of CAD 15,000 and can cover up to 90% of eligible digital consulting fees. As a customer, you will need to pay 10% of the grant amount to the digital consulting company. The total project cost is typically CAD 17,000 or higher. Once the digital adoption plan is completed, you will need to submit the invoice for project payment and a copy of the digital adoption plan on the CDAP portal to receive reimbursement of up to CAD 15,000.

The best way to participate in the CDAP program is to undergo pre-qualification certification for your business in advance to ensure eligibility for the program. Any registered businesses with at least one employee and a minimum revenue of $500,000 CAD or more in the past three years are eligible to apply.
